Okay, type:
"YourBlogSucks.Com"
into your browser ... What's up with this?
Is it a family? They'll sell me some chicken, maybe? I don' t get it ...

zefrank.com (Home of "The Show," b. 2006 - d. March 17th, 2007)
... as you jump from personal-note-from-the-blogger-to-you-the-reader #1 and straight to personal-note-from-the-blogger-to-you-the-reader #5, be careful not to miss the brilliant "who says I have to?" decision to put #3 before #2:
(I see something there; different each time. Don't you?)
"5. this is the space where you imagine beautiful things. each time you come here, try to imagine new shapes and colors. then tell all of your friends about how beautiful this part of the page is."
Maybe nobody else thinks these sites are as stupendously cool as I do ... maybe it's just that I've been living in foreign countries waaaaaaaaaaay too long and all of the people back in the U.S. of A. have all gone crackers and it's only ME who thinks that these people are all artistic and literary geniuses ... but I suppose we'll have to wait and see in a few months ...
THIS WAS A BLOG WELL-WORTH ANY TIME SPENT ON IT.

I wanted to download the Internet. All I needed was this new bigger hard disk.
Ban the Blog!
"According to Tim Dowling on the Guardian Unlimited’s... er... blog:

The editor-in-chief of US Vogue has apparently decided that the word blog is vulgar and refuses to let it be used on the Vogue website. It is said that she has even told staff to come up with a replacement before the website is relaunched.
Wintour may be mistaken in assuming that she can bring her personal taste to bear on the language like some one-woman Académie française, but there is a wider point to consider: many of our internet neologisms have been foisted upon us by a small band of technogeeks with a weakness for portmanteau words, bad puns and unwieldy acronyms ..."
Okay ... while this post recognizes the ummm, lateness(?) of any effort to object to the word 'blog,' and some have even postulated that this is because the EIC in question might be SATAN! (and we all know how busy Satan is these days, so no wonder she's late in getting around to trivial-in-comparison-to-the-downfall-of-mankind blogs) how come it's on a page headed by a graphic which reads "January Magazine?" It's a girl's name, maybe? Maybe I'm confused too easily? (Okay wiseguy there at the keyboard ... I heard that. That was completely uncalled for.)

Death threats force woman to suspend blog, cancel talk at O'Reilly conference
March 27, 2007 -- Prominent blogger Kathy Sierra cancelled a workshop she was scheduled to give today at O'Reilly's Emerging Technology Conference in San Diego and suspended her blog because of death threats she received on her blog and threats of violence posted on other blogs, she said.
Sierra runs the Creating Passionate Users blog. (Editor's note: the site now includes the graphic language and photos that Sierra said caused her to pull out of the conference). She also is the co-creator of the Head First computer book series and founder of the popular JavaRanch programmer site.
UK Teacher faces hearing over blog
It was bound to happen ... "A psychology teacher in Greater Manchester faces a disciplinary hearing after posting allegedly "inappropriate messages" to students on a blog."
